Bangor Public Health is excited to start offering CPR to the community.
Our instructor is an American Heart Association certified CPR instructor, as well as a Registered Nurse with years of resuscitation experience.

CPR Classes currently offered:
Friends and Family/Community CPR- Free
Family & Friends CPR is for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a CPR course completion card to meet a job requirement. This course is ideal for community groups, new parents, grandparents, babysitters, and others interested in learning how to save a life. This class is interactive and engaging, and participants will have the opportunity to practice hands on skills such as compressions, choking relief airway support, use of an AED, and first aid if desired. Skills are taught in a dynamic group environment using the AHA’s research-proven practice-while-watching technique, which provides students with the most hands-on CPR practice time possible. After the course participants will walk away with resources, real-world skills, and a course participation certificate.

BLS for Providers- Coming Soon (stay tuned!)
The American Heart Association’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-hospital and out-of-hospital settings. This program is stricter in what content we review, and participants must pass both the written exam and skills test to earn their certification card. Our instructor prides herself on making her class easy for anybody new to CPR to pass and leave confident in their new skills.
